Commissioned by Helsinki Festival, Virva Talonen's Special Cases examines to the interface between the ordinary and the extraordinary. Special Cases introduces a miniature community consisting of performers and the audience: women, men, young, old, rich, poor, beautiful, ugly, famous, unknown, interesting, boring, intelligent and stupid. Who is the most unique of all, who has the most power to bend the rules?
