Opening of Nagisa Oshima film series

Helsinki Festival is pleased to invite you to attend the launch event of the Nagisa Oshima film series. The event begins with a presentation by Professor Jarmo Valkola titled Sensory Visions – Nagisa Oshima, followed by Antti Alanen on Nagisa Oshima’s hidden treasures – Oshima’s works previously unseen in Finland. (Please note that these presentations will take place in Finnish.)

The event continues with Jarmo Valkola’s 1989 television interview with Nagisa Oshima (run time 30min), concluding with the Finland premiere screening of Oshima’s Night of the Killer
(Muri-shinju: nihon no natsu, 1967). Run time: 98 min.

Classification: Suitable for persons aged 15 and over. English subtitles.
