I have studied art at the university, and I am interested in visual arts, animation, cinema and good music. I believe art inspires and makes you a better person. It's a two-way street: when art touches me, it makes me want to create something myself. The Helsinki festival is an opportunity to hear some great names of world music that I would perhaps never get a chance to see back home in Brazil.

I really enjoy world music, I am always curious and digging for something I haven't heard before, I find it pleasant to hear sounds, instruments and voices from different parts of the world, therefore this is my kind of music! People from different countries combining a great range of flavours to their music!

As an afro-beat lover, this is something I don't want to miss. I never heard her before, but she sounds like a special musician also involved with questions that matter to me: children's rights and feminism, for example.
